Prolonged blackout in Choba community

Considering the present circumstances as regards the price of petrol in Nigeria, the power outage in Choba community in Rivers state, Nigeria which has lasted for close to 2 months has caused its residents to worry.

The power company which developed a habit of charging exorbitant bills disregarding the high rate of power outage have done nothing to remedy the situation.

Though about 6 power transmission poles were destroyed during a heavy rainfall in the area, no work has been carried out as to fixing the problem.

The current price of petrol in stations which is at 140naira per litre still remains a problem since generators have been relied upon for power.
