Grain silos destroyed by fire in Jigawa


Property worth over N2 million has been destroyed by fire in Mudiga village, Miga Local Government Area (LGA), of Jigawa State.

The damage includes about 10 grain silos containing mainly guinea corn, millet, rice, and beans. Other damages done by the fire include house utilities and livestock.

The local government caretaker committee chairman, Muhammad Maigari, who sympathized with the victims, expressed shock over the disaster and promised support and assistance to the victims by the local government. He was represented by the local government secretary, Baban-nan Murabis.
