Two Indomie security operatives gunned down by armed gunmen in Choba

Two security operatives attached to indomie company in Choba community were gunned down yesterday at 9:20pm.

The gunmen after abducting a boutique owner (name withheld) and robbed several shops and eateries in the area, where fleeing to their extraction point when they met the mobile policemen and opened fire on them.

There was tension in the area and people ran for their safety in avoidance of stray bullets from the sporadic gunshots by the gunmen.

Having achieved their mission, the gunmen fled by boat but no arrests have since been made regarding the incidence.

It was a sad moment for their colleagues as they were all spotted in 'all black' instead of their regular uniforms.

Their families were reached by phone this morning but the bodies of both policemen have since been deposited in the mortuary.
