Aisha Buhari sidelined by Cabal over PMB's health status

A cabal is believed to have taken over managing the health of President Muhammadu Buhari Signal.ng is reporting.

According to the report, Mrs Aisha Buhari is believed to have been cut off in decision making relating to the health of her husband.

The cabal is reportedly led by Mamman Daura, President Buhari’s long-time confidant who has reportedly assumed the role of a “presidential think thank” on very key decisions of governance, including matters relating to President Buhari’s health and personal well being.

The report said the president’s doctor’s in London have advised him to undergo surgery to remove what has been described as a cancerous growth but the cabal have reportedly advised the president against such move as he could be away for six months.

“They are keeping the president away from his family. The wife of the president, Aisha Buhari has been cut off. She no longer has a say or influence in most matters that directly affect the personal well being of her husband, the president."

“Imagine the president is proceeding on a 10-day medical leave and none of his immediate family members is going with him on the trip, not even his wife. That tells you how bad things have degenerated."

“It was not like this shortly after he won the election. You will remember on several occasions, there were pictures of his children accompanying him on trips abroad. Things have since changed. The Daura cabal is now in charge and there are concerns that they may have hijacked the Presidency and are holding the president hostage."

“The president is technically no longer in charge of himself and his government. Daura is now the one running the show”, Signal quoted a source.

Recall that the Nigerian Presidency announced on Sunday that President Buhari will be proceeding on a 10-day vacation in London beginning from Monday June 6th, 2016 to attend to his health.

A statement from the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina said Buhari will during the holiday see an Ear Nose and Throat (E.N.T) specialist following a persistent ear infection. A few days before, the Presidency had claimed that the President was not sick and was fit as a fiddle.

Meanwhile, Reno Omokri an aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan threw a jab at President Buhari’s new media aide Tolu Ogunlesi, over a tweet made in 2012 about the price of fuel.

PRISON BREAK: 15 inmates escape from Nsukka prison

No fewer than 15 inmates were believed to have escaped from Nsukka Prison in Enugu state in a jail-break that occurred on Tuesday night. A reliable source at the prison who pleaded anonymity said on Wednesday that the inmates broke their cells and scaled over the perimeter fence. “The inmates carefully opened their cells and scaled the perimeter fence of the prisons. “Before prison officials on night duty knew what was happening, about 15 inmates had escaped,” the source said. 3 persons confirmed dead in Akokwa Imo State

DSP Andrew Enwerem, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) who confirmed the incident in a chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Owerri, said some others sustained injuries.
